About This Blog

I started this blog a few years ago when I was working as a Technology Integration Teacher and also helping develop and lead my district's 1:1 iPad program. The best of intentions, however, got pushed to the side as I focused all of my attention on the work at school. Look back, I wish I had kept this blog up, so now I am trying to revive it! I plan to reflect on experiences I'm having in my own classes, as well as our 1:1 iPad program. I hope this blog helps you in your teaching and leadership as much as it will help me to reflect on my own practice!

About Me

My passion for educational technology began while I was an undergraduate student at Michigan State University. As a student, I began working at the MSU Center for Teaching & Technology where I learned about a number of new tools and teaching strategies that opened me up to an entirely new interest in education. Since then, here's what I've been up to: 2015-Current: I teach two "related arts" courses: Math of Economics for 7th grade and Technology Applications for 8th grade in the same district I've been in since 2011. I wrote the curriculum for Technology Applications which primarily consists of coding content. 2011-2015: Technology Integration Teacher for a middle school north of Chicago. I also taught a few sections of Technology and PBL courses while here and helped lead our pilot and then grade-level implementation of 1:1 iPads.  2010-2011: Technology Integration Specialist for K-8 schools west of Chicago
